Where the Artist was born. I’m a bush man. There’s a big salty lake (warla) there. He’s got good water right in
the middle. Not far from Punmu and well 33. You got to sing to the lake. The water, he comes up like a tide, you
can get a drink. Bush man has to sing snake. Two big sandhills, and soakwater all around. Artist family last to
leave the desert. All the other families had left – gone to the cattle stations. This group walked along the
Canning Stock Route – ended up at Thangoo Station.
