This painting is the artists interpretation of when she witnessed the very special sight of 3 rainbows out at sea.
.Rainbows are considered to be a lucky sign, to see a double rainbow is special and it is extremely unusual to see a
triple one.
She imagines that the 3 rainbows in fact were all connected as one. Like a great rainbow serpent arising from the sea.
