Ruby Williamson is a senior law woman living in the Amata community on the Pitjantjatjara lands. Ruby's skills
are based in fostering law and culture, story-telling, hunting, punu or wooden carving, dancing and painting. Ruby
has been painting at the arts centre since 2000.
In this painting Ruby has depicted the women sitting next to the water holes or kapi tjulkulas and under their
purpose built shade huts or wiltja. The women are the 'u' shapes, the yellow in the middle are the fires or waru and
the blue circles representing the water holes.
