This painting depicts the "Jukurrpa" or Dreaming of the ancestral Napangardi and Napanangka women who
travelled east gathering food and performing ceremonies. They collected "ngalyipi" (Tinospora smilacina or
snake vine) and performed ceremonies as they travelled to Janyinki and ceremonial sites. Their journey took
them eventually beyond Warlpiri country. The central motif in this painting is ceremonial hair bands depicted
as arc shapes on either side of the painting. The parallel linework represents the landscape on each side of the painting.
