The figures in these paintings are the Yorta Yorta Chiefs and the ‘Maiden Punt’ women. The possum skin cloaks the women
are wearing are the ‘Maiden Punt’ designs and the men are wearing the ‘Lake Condah’ design.
The symbols on the cloaks represent the Yorta Yorta country and clan designs. The white dotting illustrates the DNA of the
Yorta Yorta people. The Longneck turtle in the background is the Yorta Yorta totem.
The back of the painting has an ochre screen print design.
