The design for this rug is from an original painting. The style of art is known as ‘Piti’ the name of the traditional
wooden bowl used for collecting food. The painting is an acrylic on canvas measuring 800 x 300mm. Pinted in
February 2005 it is part of a series of work Brenda did at the time, using traditional themes and an earthy ochre
palate.
