Valerie has represented a Womens Ceremony in this painting. The concentric circle represents the site of Mt Wedge (Karrinyarra) 60 kms north of Papunya, central desert region in Australia. The U shapes indicate women and the oval shapes indicate coolamons (wooden dishes) along with their digging sticks. The women adorn their upper bodies with body paint and feathers during ceremony. The background designs indicate body paint and country.
