Mignonette Jamin Byanambi & Kimoorlng River 2007
Natural ochre & pigment on canvas 760 x 760mm $2500
This is the artist's traditional country in the top of the Northern Territory near the Western Australia border.
This place is called Kimoorlng River. All the sharp pointed shapes around the painting represent hills and the
coloured circles in the middle represent small and large billabongs. In the centre of the painting is a line which
represents a river called Kimoorlng. The large black hill at the top of the painting is called Byanambi. The light
brown represents the plain country.
