East Kimberley Ochres

Nora Nagarra Jalminban 2004
Natural ochre and pigments on canvas 80 x 60cm $1140
This is a crossing on the Ord River. When Nora and her family would come from their country in the Bungle
Bungles (Purnululu) they would come this way and have a big camp at the crossing. They would carry their swags
and billy cans and all the family would go - Mother, Auntie, sister Phyllis Thomas (she was only a small girl at the
time) and Nora.
