Allan Mansell is a Tasmanian aboriginal artist who grew up on Cape Barren Island but is now residing on Bruny Island. His art career started when his wife gave him a pencil set a couple of years ago. His skill in drawing from the heart is evident from his work and shows his strong link to nature. He believes that his style is different to mainland Australian aboriginal art because the Tasmanian aborigines are a different people. Allan is now studying art at the University of Tasmania to further his knowledge and techniques. |
