Alice Nampitjinpa Tali Tali 2008
Acrylic on Belgian linen 1830 x 1370mm $12000
Alice paints the tali Tali (or sand hills) from Taalalpi. Taalalpi holds great significance for Alice and is the
country her Father and Mother used to travel when she was a very small girl. Water has collected in between
the sandhills, providing sustenance for her porcupine. The tjikamamta (porcupine) is Alice's own personal
tjukurrpa (dreaming). Taalalpi is located near the WA/NT border between Kintore and Kiwikurra.
