Two Gilling Gilling ladies are teaching the Bundimi dance. They are wearing the Gugoli - long yam headdress -
and their ears are decorated with the round or woolly yam. Both have a forehead band Gulumbung and both
have bead necklaces. When they were doing the Bundimi dance they were walking and standing up, singing
and teaching the girls the Bundimi dance. The positions of hands, elbows, knees and feet are all important. The
Gilling Gilling are all at Victoria River in Wardaman country in the caves. They still live in the caves today and
they come out at night time and make a lot of noise. They're downstream from the pub and bridge at Victoria
River. There's lots of white paint on the walls of those caves and in the Creation time they're dancing and doing
all sorts of tricks.
