The artist bas painted a sea fish, the golden trevally or Jinumbu. Kunwinjku people travel to the coast around Cobourg Peninsula. Murgenella and Croker Island, which are situated in Western Arnhem Land to fish for the golden trevally or jumping fish as it is also known. The golden trevally are caught from either boat or shore. The fish have been painted in the classic x-ray style with internal organs and backbone shown which is one of the hallmarks of Kunwinjku paintings in the rock art tradition.
