This is a true story from the time when I was still living with my mother and father in the bush, we didn't know kartiya (Europeans) then. I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet.   When I was walking back to my place, I was bitten by a snake and I started shaking a lot. My parents helped me, but they said I went very still, they told me I died; but they didn't give up and I woke up then and I was not sick, I was alive again.
