Joanna has painted the Groote Eylandt story about an Old Man. The old man had many wives and many
children as well. The women decided to all go hunting together for fish, yams and sugar bag. They left their
children with the old man to look after. The women were gone for a long time and those Children were so loud
and so naughtly, he did not like this at all. The old man got madder & madder, he got those children and threw
them all into the fire. When the women came back to camp they realized what the old man had done.
