Pansy tells the story of her Hailstone Dreaming as an event that happened in ancestral times. The location is Illpilli, west of Yuendumu in Warlpiri country, NW of Alice Springs. She says that the storm had huge hail stones that killed all the people in that region. Pansy was brought up in this region but now lives in Alice Springs.
