Rooth Wilay Family Visit at Town Camp 2010
Acrylic on canvas 575 x 550mm Framed SOLD
Rooth Robertson (Wilay) was born in 1951 on the North Coast of NSW Australia. She now lives and creates her artworks in Alice Springs, in the central desert of the Northern Territory, Australia.
My art tells stories about life in Alice Springs, Aboriginal town camps and camp dogs or as they are commonly called by the Aboriginal people - 'cheeky dogs'.
The artwork style Rooth creates has been called naïve it is vibrant and full of intense colour just like the central desert of Australia. |
