Nora Wompi Nungurrayi Kunawarritji 2004
Acrylic on linen 1000 x 1000mm $4680
Nora has painted some of her country located near Kunawarritji (Well 33), far to the south west of Balgo along
the middle stretches of the Canning Stock Route. The parallel lines in the painting represent the tali (sand hills)
that dominate this country, the circles are warniri (rockhole) and the elongated yellow shape is a parmarr (hill).
This is good country for collecting bush foods including pura (bush tomato) and kantjilyi (bush raisin). This
painting was exhibited as part of the Easter 2004 Balgo 4-04 exhibition at Balgo Hills.
