Mary Tjaatju Napangarti Yurrumar 2001
Acrylic on canvas 1200 x 400mm $595
Mary has painted some of her traditional country, which is south west of Balgo, towards the Canning Stock
Route. The country depicted here is Yurrumar. In this country is a rockhole called Ngulkil, which is depicted in
the painting, with a small, intermittent kiliki, or creek running into it. This place, Ngulkil is known as a 'living
water' place, because it always contains reliable water.
