Marie has painted Yawulyu an annual womens ceremony and gathering which is a creation story from a long time
ago. It is a special womens ceremony where many women comes together at from all different tribes and language
groups to show their songs and dance. This ceremony is to keep womens culture strong. 'These days we gather at
womens festival, showing dance and songs. Women come and join in. Today women are strong and they look after
culture'.
