Philomena Baadjo Nangala Kulkulpa 2003
Acrylic on canvas 900 x 600mm SOLD
Philomena has painted some of her traditional country, which is far to the south of Balgo in the Great Sandy
Desert. The country here is known as Kulkulpa. The dotted panels represent a particular type of bush seed
collected here, kulparri. These small black seeds are ground up to make damper. The squares represent the finished damper.
